Pete's Expert Summary
My human has presented me with what appears to be a plush effigy of a farm animal. It is from the brand GUND, a name I recognize from whispered legends of superior, long-lasting plush passed down from one generation of house cat to the next. So, while the choice of a *cow* is deeply uninspired (have they ever seen me stalk a cow? No.), the quality merits a cursory inspection. The key features are its "rippled" plush fur and "under-stuffed" body. This suggests it might be pleasantly textured for kneading and suitably yielding for a proper kill-bite and bunny-kick session. It is, however, designed for a human infant, which is a mild insult. Still, its potential as a high-quality napping pillow cannot be dismissed out of hand.

A Tale from Pete the Cat
The offering was placed on the sunbeam spot, my sunbeam spot, an act of such audacious territorial encroachment I was momentarily stunned into inaction. It was a cow, of all things. A placid, cream-and-navy interloper with foolishly soft horns and a vacant stare. The Human cooed something about it being a "Cozys Collection" cow. I saw it for what it was: a test of my dominance. The tag confirmed its GUND lineage, a mark of nobility in the plush world, which only made its presence more perplexing. A worthy adversary, perhaps? Or a Trojan Cow, filled with some hidden horror like a squeaker or, gods forbid, citrus spray? I began the ritual of the circle. One slow, deliberate perimeter check, tail held low, a silent question in the air. The cow did not flinch. Its rippled fur seemed to absorb the light, promising a unique tactile experience. Its floppy limbs were splayed in a posture of complete surrender, an invitation to violence. The tuft of navy fur on its tail was a particular affront, a jaunty flag of defiance in the heart of my kingdom. My initial theory of a trap weakened; this creature was built not for conflict, but for capitulation. With a sigh born of boredom and obligation, I launched my assault. Not a full-hearted pounce, but a practiced, almost lazy takedown. I grabbed it by the scruff, my teeth sinking into plush that yielded with a satisfying softness. Flipping onto my side, I brought the thunder of my back paws upon its under-stuffed torso. Thump. Thump. Thump-thump-thump. The cow folded around my attack, absorbing the blows like a seasoned sparring partner who knows when to go limp. It was an unsatisfying fight, devoid of struggle or glory. Exhausted more by the lack of challenge than the effort, I ceased my attack, my claws still lightly tangled in its fur. My head was resting on its flank. The sunbeam, which it had so rudely occupied, now warmed us both. The velvety horn was just beside my cheek, and I instinctively rubbed my scent gland against it, marking it as mine. The conquest was complete. The Human may have intended it as a plaything, but its true purpose was now clear. It was not a toy. It was a throne. A very comfortable, vanquished throne.
