This was a good toy for the price. My 5 year old daughter had a blast with it and laughed hysterically when her car raced pass mine. I'd say with proper assembly, this toy should work fine and provide lots of fun and laughter!

Thought this would be a great toy for a four year old boy. He loved the cars and wanted to race them on the track, but we had a hard time getting them to run consistantly. Even the adults could not get them to run. It was hard to put together and stay assembled. After one afternoon of trying to get the cars to run properly, we were ready to give up on the whole thing.

Our son is a Thomas fanatic, and we've been slowly building up his train set. The only drawback to the Thomas brand stuff is that they are so expensive (the "Roundhouse" by itself will set you back 80 bucks!)and almost never go on sale. This "logging adventure" set by Imaginarium fits neatly into the Thomas tracks, and you get more equipment for your dollar. Plus, it comes with different trucks and engines, adding more variety to your child's playtime. A nice "filler" for less money.

We bought this train for our son for Christmas and we were very upset when we put it together there was a part missing.
The child has never been able to run his train all the way around and use it properly because of the missing part.

My nephew, Max, is an active toddler that I am able to enjoy spending at least two days out of each week with, while his parents are at work.
This toy was given to Max by a family friend, who has two children of her own, and I am guessing has a pretty good idea of what kids will enjoy! It was a Christmas gift, and sat under our tree for a long time before he had a chance to open it.
While we have not had any "problems" with the siren going off on its own, the siren is somewhat loud, and personally, I do not find it unpleasant, but then, I haven't had a headache! His dad heard the siren, and laughed at "how cool" it was. I will add that the siren has not been activated very often during play, even though Max does know it can be.
We have tried to provide Max with a variety of play things to encourage his imagination and creativity. He spends a lot of time playing with his trucks and cars, and this toy allows him to rearrange the pieces and create different looking vehicles, and to have a new place to put the "patient who is getting the help he needs". This set has become a favorite toy of my nephew, and it is wonderful to see his joy as he plays!

This toy was wonderful when I got it and wrapped it for christmas, however I don't know if it was damaged in transit or what but it has a habit of letting off the siren and fun noises while it is wrapped.Once we narrowed down which package was making the noise I moved it in case something was pressing on the button. It kept making noises and I eventually unwrapped it only to find the press button is in a place that nothing was even touching it. I have determined the toy either has a short in it or it is possessed. My recommendation is to only buy this toy if you plan on waking up in the middle of the night to the sound of "Emergency, Emergency... call for help" preceeded by sirens.

This toy and the company are great. I play with my Microsizer all the time. It is kind of hard to live with out it. I have two cars and I enjoy them both very much. I like my car to go fast and with this kit thats what it dose. It makes my car go faster

I thought this kit would be really beneficial. Well, I guess I didn't do my homework, but its still a worthy purchase. I got this for my black Skyline Pro to upgrade it. Well, I didn't notice that it includes a 2.2 motor, which is the same as the one that came with the vehicle. However, the new axle is the best available, the Power Gear. So much low end torque, it's hard to grip the floor. Which is fine for me cause I mostly just do spins and skids with my Microsizer, so I like it better this way, but not everyone will I'd guess. The suspension upgrade is another perk. This is actually quite cool as it give you more stability while turning (and seemingly less pull to one side) The tires are nice too and give you better traction on hardwood. But again, you'll need to analyse what your looking for.
A highly recommended upgrade if you have less than a 2.2 motor, otherwise do some cost analysis.

The car is great fun and very durable my 8 yr old boy loves it. It is easy to control but the spin-out button does not really work all that well. Cars come in 27 MHz and 49 MHz so you can not race cars that are on the same MHz as claimed by the review of Johnny C of (SF Bay, CA) he must work for the company. I bought 3 of the cars hoping to have some family racing fun but had to take two of them back because the controller controlled all three cars. If you're buying it for one person it's a great toy but don't be mislead into believing you can race them against each other (2 at most 27MHz vs 49MHz).

For Chistmas my boss purchased 3 of these wonderful little cars for each of us in the office. He got Jimmie Johnson, I got Bobby Labonte and the other guy in our office got Tony Stewart. The best thing is, each driver comes on a different frequency so you can race all of the cars together. We take them out to the parking lot on weekends and have a great time racing.
They are pretty powerful little cars, a bit bigger than the usual NASCAR display cars. They are rear wheel driven and if you drive them on slippery floors you will definately have to deal with fishtailing. Shorter carpeting or pavement works best.
They also take a BUNCH of batteries. 5 AA's and 1 9volt. Thankfully it comes with a couple AA's. Beware though, everytime you drive, it makes a racing sound which helps use up the battery life.
The range of the remote is pretty far and there are 4 directional buttons plus a "burnout button". (Make sure you have a lot of room to use the last one!) These cars are very durable as we have hit many table legs, walls and other cars in our racing and they barely have a scratch on them.
If you are looking for a realistic looking, durable and fun NASCAR remote controlled car, look no further.

My Grandson has this tractor/train & he seems to really enjoy playing with it. He knows where the animals go, and what noises they will make when he pushes them.

My 12 month old received this as a birthday gift and likes it...the animal and tractor sounds are great. My only disapointment is that the animals and farmer do not stay in place well. It's hard for little hands to put them in the right place and for the figures to stay in place while she plays. Overall a fun toy for the price, though. I would still recommend it.

My son got this for his 4th birthday last week and loved it, even though it didn't glow in the dark as he thought the package art implied. However, it would no longer move forward (it has a "push and go" mechanism) after 4 days, and the back wheel would practically not move at all after 5 days. My son has not been rough with it - he's just been pushing it along the floor. The missile launcher on the back of the batcycle comes as a separate piece that snaps on, but will not stay on (not that I mind, but some of the kids might). He still likes the way it looks, but it's rather frustrating now that it doesn't move. The description does not mention it, but the batman figure does not come off the batcycle.

This game is great if you like to race through crowded streets and blow up criminals,then you will like this game. You control 3 different auto's a Police car,motorcycle,and Plane,and if you get frustrated you can take out a few innocent people that were just driving along minding there own business. Plus you can take your own route to get a criminal[none of that diving around a track with a fixed route] So I'f you like to make your own route and not follow a track then this game is worth buying.

Descent Maximum is not just for teens because adults can play this game also. I am an adult and I play this game with a thirteen year old and it is lots and lots of fun. Glenn Rubenstein from the Editorial Review asks "how much compelling gameplay does it offer in the long run?". I would say that this game is very compelling and what he describes as confusing is what makes this game so much fun.

Kids love it, but the plastic is so thin and cheap. (...)This is not well made so little kids (3-4 yrs) will need to take extra care. As the kids say, "lots of fun, but pretty cheap."
