A must have for any PSX sim fan!
WOW
The best space-combat game for playstationFor starters, in the presentation and production values department this game is just plain awesome. Not ONLY does it feature some of the best graphics ever to be found on playstation, not ONLY does it feature a branching story and changes based on your successes or failures, and not ONLY does it feature some of the best menus, menu sounds, music, and in-game cinemas to be found in any game for any system ever... it also features a built-in encyclopedia of all the star systems, planets, and ships in the game complete with voice-narration!
This game offers great challenge, great gameplay, flawless presentation, tight controls, and a great storyline. The music is so good I wish there were a soundtrack.
This game is everything a great game shoud be, and fans of classic games owe it to themselves to buy this one A.S.A.P., especially if they like space-combat games.

Otherwise, it is a great toy. My son carries it all over the place. He says it is his favorite.

I get home, take it out of the box, and install brand new batteries. My son is all excited over it. I first notice that ir will not go in reverse when I press the reverse button. Then I hit forward and it goes for a few feet and stops even though my finger is still on the foward burron. Not only that, but maintaining a consistent turn is impossible because the turn signal from the remote apparently gets interrupted as well and the wheels will staighten out.
Apparently the radio signal from the remote is either very weak or the truck itself causes interference on it's end. Whatever the problem, the truck will just stop and not respond. You have to get about 3 feet from it to work again. Once it goes more that 6 feet away, same thing, it stops. Some times even less than 6 feet. It is very frustratin for my son because it SHOULD work but doesn't. Tonka claims a 20 feet range. This is not true at all.
Well, then I came on amazon and read these reviews and found others having the same problem. I returned it to Toys R Us today and exchanged it for a new one, same model, and guess what? The new one has the same exact problem.
(...). I am very disappointed in Tonka for allowing a shoddy product to hit the market like this. I am not surprised that it is now clearanced. I wouldn't be surprised to see a new model released by Tonka soon which will have none of these flaws. Too bad for those of us who bought this model.

Set in the time line of the Next Generation TV and film series, Invasion has you cast in the role of a fighter pilot destined for a big part in the upcoming war against the Earth-bound Borg. The Borg is not the only Trek race to show up in here; the Cardassians, Klingons, and Bajorans are all along, too. Speaking of the Trek gang, actors Michael Dorn as Worf and Patrick Stewart as Captain Picard contribute good voice acting to an all-around solid production.
The visuals in Invasion are uniformly sharp and show an attention to detail that almost makes the old PlayStation beg for mercy. The planets, the ships, the explosions (especially the explosions!) are topnotch. The music, however, is painfully repetitive. Disturbingly, the controls in Invasion are way too sensitive for all but the most die-hard space jockeys. The Valkyrie space fighters often make too wide a turn, resulting in constant misfires and untimely deaths.
Perhaps because it is set in the more politically correct universe of Star Trek, Invasion does lack the Colony Wars games' level of intense, gritty combat, and its story isn't nearly as engaging. Yet, for a laser blast-filled journey into the final frontier, it's still a fun ride. --Mark Brooks
Pros:
- Lovely graphics push the PlayStation to its limits
- Excellent voice acting all around
- Easy to get into
- Awkward controls
- Light story line doesn't compete with standout games in this genre
- Too few missions
