Up & Down Roller Coaster Ride-on
Made by Step2
Age Group: 24 months - 5 years
    Amazon base price: $89.99
    List price: $99.99 (that's 10% off!)
It may not feature any loop-de-loops or terrifying hairpin turns, but preschoolers will likely find this 10-foot-long roller coaster every bit as thrilling as grownups find the amusement park version. Molded in brightly colored plastic, it's built for years of wear in either the backyard or the playroom. The set's components fit together to form a downhill ride with another smaller hill about halfway through. What we loved most about this set is the fact that the individual parts are just as much fun as the fully assembled kit. The car, bright yellow with a sturdy handle, could just as easily be used around the house if the child is too young for the coaster. And the ramp system is plenty of fun to roll cars, balls, or anything else. Perhaps our tiny toy tester said it best: "Wheee!" --John Moe

    Wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
This toy was given to my then 2 year old daughter for her birthday. she just turned 5 and still loves it. To make things even more enjoyable, her older sister and brother love it. They are now 9 and 6 1/2 and still love to play with it. I took a ride on it and I loved it. They also have taken their silly pins and put them at the end and rolled the ball. They call the game rock and roll bowling. You can put it together in a "snap" and can easily be taken apart and stored.

    Fun toy
My 2 year old got this for his Bday. I wasn't too sure about it at first because it is so big and the steps seemed like they could be dangerous. I was completely wrong! It may be big, but it is perfectly safe. He and the neighbor kid love to ride this and then enjoy pushing it up the ramp. They also like to send other toys down the ramp! I see this as a toy that is going to last many years!

    Awesome!
Bought this for my oldest daughter when she was 27 months old. She loved it. My one year old didn't show much interest. But, just three months later, she loves it too! It's durable, easy to assemble and your kids will learn how to push the car back to the top. Too much fun!

    Excellent quality, crawler/toddler loves it
I bought this chair for my daughter when she was 10 months old, when she was standing and crawling, but not yet walking. Although my mom insisted she is too young to use it, Emma climbed right on and has been using it nonstop since then. It is sturdy and has never toppled over when she tried to climb on or stood up on it and tried to bounce. In addition to it being low enough to climb on and off, it is higher and provides more support than the Sesame street flip open sofa, that had a tendency to fall over backwards when Emma tried to climb on it. I can't comment on the durability of the materials, as I made her a little seat cover, to prevent cheesy and fruity fingers from soiling the seat, and I would advise you to do the same to avoid having to clean it too often. Great buy and it seems to be a quality chair - just prevent others from using it as a footstool!

    A Toddler MUST!
We bought this for Christmas 2002. My son was 17 months then. He will be 3 in July and he still absolutely loves this chair. It's held up to a toddler very well. The cushion seat seems a little flatter/harder and it's definitely looking a bit dingy. The care instructions advise using a damp cloth, and we have been with good results. But it's gotten so much use that it now needs a deep clean. The cloth hasn't frayed, the seams haven't pulled, the pockets haven't ripped, it's 4 square and sturdy, no loose or creaky boards in the chair frame. It's good quality.
If this chair were to break, we'd have to buy another right away. Jamie would just throw fits if he didn't have his chair!!! (...) Woth EVERY penny paid! I highly recommend this for your child. Every toddler who sees it loves it, plus it looks nice in the family room with all the "real" furniture.

    very pleased
My son loves this chair. I bought it for him when he was a year old. He is now three and still this is his favorite chair. He watches his movies, reads his books and even naps in this chair. It is very sturdy. The fabric doesn't really look how it used to but it hasn't torn or anything. I now have another one year old and am purchasing one for him as well. I highly reccommend this chair to everyone

    Fridge Phonics Magnetic Letter Set

      Great Learning Toy
I bought this for my niece on her 2nd birthday. And she loves it. Though she's not really into listening to the pronouncing of each letter, it is something she'll use soon. She loves singing the alphabet song! My only criticism about this is that the magnet isn't really that strong, as hers kept sliding down the fridge.

      Very Educational!
This is a wonderful toy to get for your child. I love it because the letters are big enough that they aren't a choking hazard and it's very easy for kids to use. My 2 1/2 year old now knows all of her letters and LOVES to sing the ABC song. My 1 year old is also quite fascinated by it. It also got a big thumbs up from my mother-in-law who is a first grade teacher.

      I love leapfrog!
My son, now two and a half loves it! After seeing the leapfrog letter factory, and word factory, this is the toy that brought it all together for him. He knows all his letters and their sounds, and he is always singing his abc's. The volume control is great too!

      Exclusive Discovery Wagon

The SUV of wagons, the Radio Flyer Discovery Wagon--in traditional red with the familiar Radio Flyer logo on each side--features everything that explorative, toy-hauling kids need for getting around in style. The 8-inch diameter, solid rubber wheels support a durable, 3-foot-long plastic wagon that can tote up to two small kids--or a full load of beach or yard toys--inside its roomy coach. There's even enough space for the neighbors' kids to toss their gear. An oversize 34-inch handle makes the massive wagon easy to direct in a straight path or around corners. --Diane Beall

!!!!!!TOY OF THE YEAR FOR OUR HOUSE!!!!!!!
I had shopped for a wagon and done all my home on every single one out there. I really wanted one that would fit my three girls 2, 4, and 5. Discovery Wagon by Radio Flyer is great. It has the no-tilt steering, and the storage compartment that fits anything you need. The removable sides are great for my young girls for easy in and out. I am a very picky shopper but this wagon is everything and more. Fits in my van with no problem. Removable sides make it so easy to tuck it away. We use this wagon for zoos, walks to the park, carnivals, or just for the kids to play around with. I highly recomend this wagon as Radio Flyer has a great reputation.

        Great Wagon!!!
This is a really great wagon. We shopped around quite a bit before buying and this was our favorite! It is much quieter than the ones with plastic wheels and is easy to steer both on pavement and the grass. I would highly recommend this one.

Most expensive Plastic I¿ve ever bought
I bought this after reading many good reviews by customers (last time I listen to them). It is a very attractive looking wagon, easy to put together. However I was quite disappointed by the construction. The moving parts are made of either by plastic to plastic or plastic to metal contacts. Therefore, these parts will wear out fast. It is a good wagon, not worth [the price]. (...)

        Green Machine
        Made by Huffy Bicycles
Age Group: 7 years and up
          Amazon base price: $79.99
          List price: $99.99 (that's 20% off!)
I must confess to a compete lack of objectivity when it comes to the Green Machine. It is hands-down the most fun toy I have ever tried. Basically a re-make of the original Green Machine of decades past, this one has the same lever controlled, rear-wheel steering that allows for crazy hairpin turns, and spectacular spin-outs. Only this time the frame is a bit more sturdy, and the front tire is made of sturdy rubber (the rear tires, alas, are still of old school hollow plastic construction and are destined to wear out far too soon). A few important caveats: though highly maneuverable, this is one set of wheels you will want kids to keep far, far from traffic; cool spinouts also mean uncool wipe-outs, so you should consider having your child wear the same safety gear normally used for rollerblading; and the sometimes iffy brakes need to be carefully adjusted before use. --David Stoesz

          I'm getting one!
My mom wanted one of these so bad when she was a kid. She is 130 lbs I think and even though I have a PW50 when she saw this in the store her eyes lit up..reliving her childhood she says. I get a lot of stuff she wanted...thank goodness she liked cool things as I am a boy. So I am sure when we go down island in two weeks there will be one in the cart and it will be so sweet even though I have to share it with my MOm. Bonding time I guess. Every kid should have a mom that loves cool toys.

          Pathfinder Wagon
          Made by Radio Flyer
          Age Group: 18 months - 5 years
            Amazon base price: $74.99
            List price: $79.99 (that's 6% off!)
Radio Flyer’s Pathfinder is the SUV of little red wagons, sporting a rugged plastic body and offering tikes a luxurious amount of towing or riding space. The wagon’s convertible seats fold down for maximum storage capacity and then flip up to comfortably accommodate two children. Webbed seatbelts ensure that children don’t bounce out when riding over rough terrain. The Pathfinder’s interior also has four built-in drink holders to keep sippy cups and juice boxes secure during the ride. The extra-long handle has a large, loop grip that even kids can control and that folds under the wagon for more compact storage. Like all Radio Flyer wagons, this one has heavy axles to handle a lot of weight, heavy-duty casters for making tight turns without tipping, and durable rubber tires that provide a soft, quiet ride. The Pathfinder measures 39-1/4 inches long, 19 inches wide, and 16-1/2 inches tall. --Cristina Vaamonde

            The BEST Wagon!!
I just bought this for my grandson and it is AWESOME! Like one mom said the seatbelts are wonderful - I have not seen another wagon with seatbelts and being 11 months old and learning to walk he is always standing up! Now I don't have to keep turning around to check on him. Everything about this wagon is perfect - the handle is long enough to pull without having to bend over; the wheels make pulling SO easy (one review said they had problems with the wheels getting stuck- not me!) and we go off road adventuring too!! - neat cupholders for his bottle - cool storage compartment for all his neat little finds along the way - WE LOVE IT! You have to go get one - you will not be sorry! It is the best investment yet as far as toys are concerned. THANK YOU RADIO FLYER!

            Best Wagon Ever!
I was searching for the perfect wagon for my daughter's 2nd Birthday. We decided to purchase this one. I love the fact that it has rubber wheels for a quiet ride. I also love the fact that the seats fold down to make a flat surface. That made it great for towing all of our gear into the zoo, such as our coolers, bags, etc., and then when my daughter fell alseep we layed a blanket on top and it was a perfect place for her to rest. While she enjoyed her ride in the wagon, we were able to strap her in with the seatbelts so she wouldn't try getting out while pulling the wagon. Great price for a great wagon!

            not too bad
I have looked for a wagon with seatbelts in it for a long long time, and I finally found it with this one. It's strange to think that we strap our children into a highchair in which they can barely move anyway, but it took until now to realize that a wagon should have seatbelts. They can be extremely dangerous if the child is allowed to stand and fall out. We moms are tryin to watch were we're going, and having to turn around every 2 seconds to make sure the baby is still in the wagon, and we know how fast they can move, right moms. So seatbelts are an excellent feature. However, there are a few things that I would change. The seats are very hard plastic and when we go for long walks my son gets cranky because he's uncomfortable. We like soft cushy seats, so do they. The other thing is the tires. With the handle being stationary, it is a bit difficult to steer, and the skinny little front tires seem to turn out of nowhere when going over a small bump and cause the tire to turn sideways and get stuck. Then you have to try to lift the front of the wagon and straighten the tires out at the same time, not an easy task while toting a 2 year old and a 4 year old. Overall, I really do like it though, and you can always throw a soft cushy towel on the seats for extra comfort.

              Battery Eater!
My son got this toy for his 4th birtday. He truly loves it, but it's a battery eater! I cannot believe how quickly this toy drains 4 AA batteries. Thank goodness they are coming out with a recharging unit soon or we'd go broke!

              BEST $ EVER SPENT !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I've never written a review before, but feel I have to about this product. It is the BEST money spent on my daughter ever!!!! My daughter got this for Christmas when she was 3 1/2 years old. She has played with it every day. At night we read books to her and then let her do her Leapster for a little while. We just purchased The Letter Factory for our last trip....and she already knows ALL the letter phonics....it is just amazing!!!!! We have never had a problem with it in 7 months...and we just put new batteries in it for the first time. I so highly reccomend this toy!!!!!

Fun toy but it doesn't hold up well
              Twice bitten...

We got my 4 year old a Leapster last Christmas. He loved it and could do all the activities the cartridge it came with had, plus the Dora the Explorer cartridge. The problem(s) we had, though, was that after just 2 months the screen or stylus lost it's sensitivity. You could no longer select items on the screen and going through the steps on the card provided did not help (you can't recalibrate if the screen won't pick up the stylus touching anywhere on the screen it would seem). We blamed our son for dropping it and "not treating his toys well". Then four months later we broke down and decided to buy him a new one to take on a trip (his older sister had a Gameboy she was taking). Two days before vacation I was driving 40 miles roundtrip to buy him a Gameboy and returned the NEW, NEVER PLAYED with Leapster. It had the SAME problem the first one had, right out of the box--and no, this one also would not/could not be recalibrated either (we apologized for thinking he had "abused" the first one).

While it's fun and keeps the youngsters occupied for longer than most things will, it's just not worth the money and time to try and get a "good" one. Not after getting TWO lemons.

              Rescue Heroes Command Center
              Made by Fisher-Price
              Age Group: 36 months - 6 years
                Amazon base price: $19.98
                List price: $34.99 (that's 43% off!)
"Calling all heroes! Code blue! Report to Sector One immediately!" Lights flashing, sirens blaring, the Rescue Heroes race to respond to the crisis. Fisher-Price's Command Center is the crisis management nucleus for the Rescue Heroes. Towering just over 2 feet tall, its three floors are designed to facilitate a multitude of daring missions. Accommodations such as a rescue-pole elevator, climbing hooks, and holders for equipment packs ensure that operations are carried out smoothly and efficiently. But the best thing about the Command Center is the control panel on the third floor: there, young heroes can record a five-second emergency message and play it back attended by a chorus of flashing lights and loud sirens. (Messages can be rerecorded as often as needed.) Be sure to invest in a couple of the Rescue Heroes to go along with the Command Center; they're sold separately and not included with this set. Takes about 15 minutes to assemble; requires three AA batteries (not included). --Julie Ubben

                what a headache
We got this for my 4 year old brother for christmas and while my dad worked on another toy i got stuck building this thing. 3 hours of work on this tower and my brother decided to play with another toy. he has never used it for any longer than 15 min.waist of money but mostly your time.

                We Love Rescue Heroes!
My 4 year old son started with 2 rescue heroes over a year ago. He now has most of the collection & loves them all! Finally real heros he can look up to that dont encourage violence. The command center was a christmas gift this year & is one of his favorite toys! I thought it looked kind of boring but his imagination runs wild with this toy! It has a really cute recordable alarm system that's easy to work & he can put his own rescue hero messages on it! His friends love coming over to play with this one.

My son's VERY Favorite toy this year...
My 2 1/2 year old son is a Rescue Heroes fanatic. He received this command center for Christmas this year. He absolutely LOVES it... more than his "big gift" train set (we were surprised). The first thing he did is line up all the Rescue Hero figures next to the box and say "It's your house!". He has climbed on top of it, tipped it over, and carried it all over the house. It is surprisingly sturdy, and doesn't tip as easily as I expected (he weighs 30 lbs, and I've caught him climbing on it a few times). I know it says for ages 3 and up.. but he seems able to play with it just fine. It doesn't have small pieces to get lost. And he is able to record his voice on it and replay it for us over and over, and over...
My 4 year old nephew also got this toy for his birthday and LOVES it. Even my 7 year old niece love to record her voice on it. I highly recommend this for a Rescue Heroes fan.

                Push Around Buggy: Pink

When it's time to go outside for a bit of fresh air and exercise, the Push Around Buggy from Step2 is ready to roll. Just slip baby in the generous molded seat, hook up the seat belt, grab the handle, and go! While you actually steer, baby can pretend to drive (and can even start the fun with a nifty ignition key). When there's an obstacle in the way or a friend passing by, baby can honk the horn. The buggy rolls smoothly and surely on four oversize poly wheels. A small trunk in the front can hold a few travel items. Both durable and fun, this sweet pink and purple Push Around Buggy is a winner. Great little buggy!
this car is the best purchase I have bought for my daughter as of yet! She absolutely loves to sit in and "drive". I bought it for her when she was able to sit up sturdily at 6 months. Its a good thing to have when you just want to take them for a quick walk to the park, it even has storage under the hood! as for the road noise, i havent even noticed it, once i did its not much louder than the typical big wheel we all had as kids.
this is a bargain for the price.....she loves it, thats all that matters, it makes her smile and giggle and thats all mommy needs!

My daughter is 9 months old now, I bought her this when she was sitting up sturdily and she absolutely loves this car! She loves to take her walk in her car so she can drive :) And she looks so cute in it too! The only problem is rounding corners you have to pick up the front a bit to turn sometimes but all in all its a great purchase.. I even use it to put her in while Im preparing dinner so she can go for a drive while Im busy! It works and she loves it!

                  The Best 1st Car Ever!
We bought this for our daughter for her 1 year birthday, and she absolutely loves it! It's great for indoors and outdoors. We push her around the house in it and she just laughs hysterically. We love that it has a seat belt to help prevent any falls. I would highly recommend this to anyone. The handle makes it so easy to push around!!! This is the best 1st car we could have bought her!!!

The best gift we ever recieved
We recieved this car as a gift in 2000 for my daughters 1st birthday. This car is still one of her favorite things in the world. We use it to take walks around the neighborhood, and now my 11 month old fights with my 4 year old daughter to see who gets to ride in it. It is very durable and has withstood the beating from my three kids!!!!! I would highly recommend this toy for anyone with children.

A truly must have in the toy arsenal
I bought this toy for my daughter's first birthday, and everyone in the family absolutely loves it. My daughter thinks that she is such a big girl driving around the neighborhood, and she prefers it to her stroller, hands down. It is sturdy, turns well, and looks cute. The removable handle is wonderful for trips as the car fits in our trunk beautifully. The handle is a godsend for parents since you will definitely be pushing this around many times for a long time. The storage compartment is really fantastic also - for all of those treasures that must go along. I think that it would be neat if the car made more realistic sounds, but my daughter doesn't mind in the least. She loves it. My only suggestion to Step2 would be to put little doors on the side so that children will not be tempted to drag their feet on the ground which my daughter occasionally does. However, parenting is not as much fun in the vehicular department without this toy. As my husband said, "this is one of the best toys that you have brought home!!!" Go get one today
                    and see for yourself.
